This year the  graduating class of Haywood Community College’s Professional Crafts department will exhibit their best work at the 2010 Graduate Show at the Folk Art Center. The show will run May 8 through September 5 in the main gallery on the second level of the center which is located off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville. Hours are 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day. There will be an opening reception with the graduates and Professional Crafts faculty on May 8 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The exhibit contains original crafted objects in clay, wood, jewelry and hand-wrought metals. This exhibit marks the professional debut for many exhibiting craftspeople. Most of the exhibition pieces are for sale. The college makes involvement in the installation, organization, and publicity of this exhibit part of the coursework for HCC professional crafts students.
